Moving to trifold pamphlets for campaign & rules

Both the rulebook and campaign sheet will be trifold pamphlets. On the campaign sheet, Knowstones are not tracked in a separate section. Instead, each upgrade has its own Knowstone cost shown beside it. As you collect Knowstones, circle them directly within the upgrade’s track. Once all Knowstones for an upgrade are circled, you unlock that upgrade.

The *trifold* pamphlets look great!

Note there are some advantages to a bifold pamphlet:

  • Easier to fold.
  • Once you have several bifold pamphlets than easier to collect into a half-letter (or A5) size booklet.
  • If each (half-letter) pamphlet "page" is *vertically* separated into two halves than could also further format into an eighth-letter booklet which could be small enough to store with the playing cards (i.e. could do two "one-page zine" format per pamphlet).

I will play around with the layout, if I can get it to look good, I'll give it a go! I do have another game, Greeting Card Guard, that uses the bifold (greeting card) format for the game board but not for the rules.

A couple of possible examples for inspiration:

1) Bright Hammer has some nice looking "one-page" zines (especially the Bestiary) which could theoretically have been converted to a bifold pamphlet by flipping sections around.

2) Most of the Cheapass Games rules are bifold pamphlets.

Looks great! I’m personally not a fan of games with playing cards as a mechanism as they seem so out of place,  so I won’t be playing this one. Your games make me rethink that however, as this is the most interesting use of plain playing cards I have seen yet, with the  knowable, cursed, combat and relics, and the interesting combat phase, seriously great work! If there were cards with curses, relics etc. I would be all in on this!

The trifold pamphlet is an excellent format I am a fan of dungeon hero so of course this appeals to me :)

Looks amazing, well organized and great structure! Well done!
