Galdor's Grip ยป Devlog
I designed Galdor's Grip as an entry for BoardGameGeek's 2023 In-hand Game Design Contest starting on October 1st, 2022. That contest just ended on March 31, 2023 and the results are in! Here is Galdor's Grip placement in each of the contest's categories:
- Overall - Best Solo Game: ๐ฅ 2nd Place
- Most Visually Appealing: ๐ฅ 1st Place
- Most Innovative Mechanic: ๐ฅ 3rd Place
- Best Use of Theme: ๐ฅ 2nd Place
- Best Rule Book: ๐ฅ 2nd Place
- Ease of Holding: ๐ฅ 1st Place
- Best Graphic Design for Visually Impaired Players: ๐ 5th Place
Thank you for everyone who has supported, played, provided feedback, and voted for my game. The game has really improved from its initial design back in October until now based on your contributions. In the coming months, I will be releasing the 3rd expansion, making minor improvements to the base game, and pursuing my options to make physical copies of this game available.

congrats!
Congratulations on the achievements and recognition, you really have incredible potential.
Keep it up, I wish you the best.
I found this game to be very, very good on all accounts. I've played it loads. Some I win some I lose. The graphic design is lovely and so is the game play. I'll be interested in seeing the other games that did well. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the third expansion! Ian
Congrats Gregg! Each of those wins is extremely well-deserved.
